Executive Vice President Global Strategic Collaboration
Taku Kawaai is in charge of Global Strategic Collaboration and part of our Global Leadership Team at NTT DATA Business Solutions since July 2021. Taku Kawaai worked for NTT DATA in Malaysia and APAC as regional COO from 2016 till 2021. He has been responsible for driving NTT DATA Business Solutions APAC market and business growth, create value for our customers, employees and stakeholders while coordinating and leading business activities in the region. He has also been leading all the operations ranging from sales to corporate services in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and China plus the partnership in Vietnam.
Previously, Taku was Principal Manager at itelligence Headquarters in Germany from 2013 to 2016 where he led business development by multiple M&As directly under CFO, and expanded organic business primarily in the European market. Before joining itelligence, he was Business Integration Manager at NTT DATA Global Headquarters in Japan, and drove Global Accounts, Offerings, Delivery, and Talents. He has developed sales and business consulting expertise in previous NTT DATA Group assignments.
Taku Kawaai holds Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Literature from Waseda University in Japan and a Master’s in Business Administration from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA with a focus on international business and innovation.
